the loneliness of hersTales of Symphonia: Lyrical RequiemCharacters: Left: Lyra (Lyrica) (OC) Right: Collet - SAI - drawing tablet Originally I wanted to draw this motive for an ACEO Card, but I just couldn’t get the sketch right. Later that evening I gave my drawing tablet another chance and here it is \o/ Lyrica (called “Lyra” after she moved in with her foster-father) lived for almost a year near Iselia, but wasn’t able to adjust to the new surroundings. She still hoped that one day her real father would come and pick her up. Being an outsider, she constantly closed herself up to everyone else and thus didn’t have any friends. One day, when Phaidra took Collet to the Temple of Martel, little Collet took notice of Lyra and approached her. Without knowing why Collet wanted to cheer Lyra up and asked Phaidra to take her with them. Unable to refuse her grandchild, Phaidra took them to the temple. After this encounter, both girls became best friends. I really like the idea of Collet being the one approaching Lyra. Knowing Lyra at the edge of 17 (when the story starts), one would think in reverse.
