New Copic Markers arrived today and motivated me enough to sketch a few things >3< Finally a roughly finished Lyrica with my new eye style! I was kinda afraid she’ll turn out too “girlish” but my worries were all for nothing. Tbh I love that “cheeky” look on her face <3
Her hair changed a bit too, I guess. It’s… more smooth? Fluffy? Whatever it is, I approve!
The sketches for lerenien-sei’s Christmas present.
The first part (right) was already sketched out at the beginning of November, following up by… nothing. I’m ashamed to say it, but the remaining part was finished right on the 23rd December - one freaking day before the “deadline” orz
I kinda couldn’t think of anything for the background. I mean, I had a vague idea what I wanted to draw and such, but I need the whole picture in my head before I can start drawing.
I was actually really proud of the sketches. I mean it and then I did something horrible. I outlined and colored it orz.
My favorite part of the sketch is Grey. I honestly grow attached to him even more after stuff happens. The is the big brother one could only wish for. I’m not really used to draw males and was all the more surprised that I got him on my first try. Those eyes! One moment later I realized: “Lyrica, all the Otome Game CGs are really rubbing off you” because fuck yeah, this kind look on his face just reminds me of oh so many wonderful lovulovu CGs >3< No wonder that I used an actual Otome Game CG as reference for his hand.
Looking back at the final piece of art, I’m not satisfied anymore which is good in its own way. I’m more than glad that my surprise worked out and you like my present, lerenien-sei, but I promised myself again: you’ll get something “better” next time. Just you wait! :>

bad cellphone quality ftw
Thanks to certain circumstances I am more than ever hyped over the Tales of Symphonia OVAs AND my OC Lyrica. I truly thank the Tethe’Alla Animation for giving me a certain idea on a small Yuan/Lyrica event (pshh, she’ll hate you, but it’s fine).
I began with the sketch at today’s lunch break. It’s not much so far because of a lovely distraction at MSN ♥ but - you won’t hear that one often - I’m proud of Lyrica’s expression. She doesn’t even look like Lyrica because something is wrong with the hair, but that expression ♥♥
Not bad for the first sketch. I’m no good at facial expression, but now I certainly feel a kind of improvement.
I’m going to start a second try though. Lyrica has to show more anger and hate. Plot-wise this would be the second betrayal and additionally the one that hurts her the second most.

ACEO Sketch for Marta orz
I kept everything simple because I didn’t want to mess with her clothes (it was 2am in the morning).
After playing around 15 hours of DotNW on last weekend I have to say… why did the fans complain so much again? I love - with no exception - every (new) voice actor so far. And despite the flaws (which sometimes are getting on my nerves too) both, Marta and Emil, are lovable characters. And lets not forget Tenebrae!
I guess it is a question of what one except from a game, especially if it is called “Tales of Symphonia”.
Well, whatever I guess.
